That was working perfectly fine for me for years: I once programmed my mouse the way I liked and keep on using it under Fedora from version 26 up to recent update on v30.Īfter recent dnf update (check details below) it stopped working.

Using Logitech Gaming Software on Windows it’s possible to bind single keystroke or even multikey macro to single mouse button and that binding is stored internally in mouse itself, no SW needed to make it work.įor example I can: connect mouse to Windows machine, assign ‘delete’ keystroke to one of mouse buttons, unplug mouse and connect on different PC (does not matter if it’s Windows or Linux) and pressing that mouse button is recognized as ‘delete’ keyboard press. It's not their responsibility to support a third party product.Īgain, though, try elevating the permissions of the relevant processes, that has made a difference with other hardware.I have Logitech G700 mouse. 2 + 2.Īnd if they didn't have a partnership with Naga, they'd probably be telling everyone to pound sand. Reality is, SWTOR partnered with RAzer and helped promote the Naga and told Logitech consumers to go pound sand. As for wanting them to "support" it.I don't expect anything.but it shows a lack of consideration for the players that they would refuse to address an issue like this when (a) there are a lot of people buying G700s for this game and (b) there's no warning that you're about to find out that you either blew your money on it or are going to spend an unhappy few hours inventing a work-around.

2 + 2.įunny how we're not seeing massive comlpaints about tha mouse not being compatible or being unresponsive or difficult to get your keybinds mapped, etc., eh? They sure don't have to "support" it if they told their partner how to program the drivers/software to not have a problem. Or they would at least work with Razer to help those people out.

Do you think they'd have told Razer naga customers the same thing if they were having problems after they specifically promoted the Rzer Naga for this game? No. Reality is, SWTOR partnered with RAzer and helped promote the Naga specifically for use in SWTOR and told Logitech consumers to go pound sand. Try elevating the software for it to admin level - had to do so for my M90, as the game itself runs at admin level.įunny how we're not seeing massive comlpaints about tha mouse not being compatible or being unresponsive or difficult to get your keybinds mapped, etc., eh? Bioware's explicitly not supporting any of this stuff, so if you're expecting them to offer support on it you're in dire need of a reality check. Sure, if you want to lose your last dollar. I've seen some other solutions people claimed worked that were pretty whacky and complicated, so yuo can probably search for those threads too if what I suggested doesn't work.įYI - Both Bioware and Logitech told players "go to the other company and make them fix it.it's not our problem." You can bet your last dollar that it's because EA/Bioware were helping promote the Razer Naga. Soo, SetPoint won't see you started SWTOR and then switch to the SWTOR profile.just stays on default.

Apparently, there is some problem with SetPoint recognizing that you've started SWTOR because SWTOR always pops up the stupid security bubble/window whenever you start the client in Windows 7 (yuo can turn that off in your Windows settings, but I wouldn't recommend it). Then, you need to go to the keybindings in SWTOR's preferences and set the mouse buttons for what you want. What worked for me was setting the buttons in SetPoint in Default profile instead of trying to create a new one.
